I know I'm being nit-picky (and I do like the product albeit def on the upper end re cost), but the 'exclusive' to Porsche owners 10% discount not quite accurate as apparently any first time buyer has this offer :) - correct?
Also just so there is no additional confusion when reading actual usable power that reaches the car, and as reported in the Taycan charging screen, you will never actually see the full 11.5 or 9.6 kW at the car - the EVSE can theoretically output this max but losses from EVSE, cabling etc. means...
Looks like they have working vents actually in the bogus mock-up camouflaged front end - can see them open in lower shot but closed on other side - odd unless actuated/testing to mimic real world variable cooling for whatever might go in there - prob a stretch! Doubt anything will look like...
Indeed a very ‘basic’ render but still looks really nice - this render showing a hard top roof - wonder if they’d more likely go soft top to strip off more weight.
EDIT - watched vid and question answered :)!
The ChargePoint really is excellent and the comment about detailed utility cost breakdown tops it off - but as said, can’t go wrong with the other top picks.
Crap that’s awesome - it would be amazing if they released a fixed and convertible top from the get go but prob a stretch! I’ll bet the car won’t be too far off the images shown here too (the convertible rendering a bit imaginative though :)).
Decided in the end to leverage the 60A breaker capacity of the HomeFlex with a hardwire install and a 60A breaker - other 14-50 receptacle will be used separately for a different application (will be changing hard wired setup for my 4-post lift to a plugged setup - will allow me to use with a...
I have two entirely separate lines each to a 14-50 receptacle and with separate indep breakers in the dedicated 100 amp panel. Always the option to convert one or both to hard wired but prefer two receptacles for now.
Yep - shared this in post bef yours :)
But I agree re the 60 A breaker - fine for an option to a hard wired ‘upgrade’ but not what my setup is obviously - going to get that corrected regardless, doesn’t make sense as is.
Seems to be some confusion here - to be clear - my HomeFlex is setup for 50 amp circuit drawing 40 amps - the breaker size of 60 amp installed by pro electrician (West Houston Electric) - in his words when I asked him re my choosing 50 amp circuit (despite a 60 amp breaker installed) in setting...
@daveo4EV
OK, you guys just need to find an Electrician's closet - seriously - you're delving into some end member cable nerd stuff here :) Just kidding - kinda :)
