    I assume that Porsche's recommendation against L1 is more due to the variability of quality and load rating of home wiring. The concern would be that the supply cable feeding the EVSE's NEMA 5-15 socket likely has other things connected to it; that it hasn't been selected for running full tilt...

    It supports power line communication as an alternative to WiFi (requires PLC on the other side), but not sure if it can operate with zero networking. Arguably connectivity is desirable in order to benefit from software updates.

Perhaps there is an indication of this setting in the UI, but if not, switch off your supply at disconnect or circuit breaker, remove the front cover and check the small rotary dial to confirm it’s set to 80A. @daveo4EV...
