All EVs (in the US anyway) have to have a non-disableable maneuvering noise to help avoid just this situation. Though clearly, it can’t protect the chronically situational unaware. We’re talking about the fake “vroom vroom” noise that some people believe imparts a “soul” onto the car. :rolleyes:

IMHO the most enjoyable thing about the Porsche purchase process is endlessly checking/unchecking option boxes.

I had a Q4 for a short period of time featuring paddle “shifters” that controlled the regen level. This came in handy for hills as I had regen disabled by default. Audi has no assignable meta button. I wish the Macan had two like the Taycan.

By then, we’ll have jet packs. Something else that we were promised & never delivered.
