Fair enough. Thanks for the explanation. I drive an Audi EV, and the new software update has been much better about those issues. I'm hoping that the software in the 718EV is minimal.
Hello, all. I apologize, as I did not see the introduce yourself thread when I joined. I may be an american, but I've lived all over the place. My love of Porsche (see my username) started as a kid, when I lived in Salzburg for a year. I had an OG Boxster for a while. My family has all EVs, now...
I think you have an error here, but maybe I'm reading another site wrong. The A6 e-tron battery has 180 cells, for ~100kwh of total storage (95 usable). I'm thinking the 718 will have 210 cells per _battery,_ or 21 cylindrical cells/module. If the batteries were identical in format, that would...
You're so right. You know what else weighs the same? The Chevy Bolt. Clearly, the Bolt, Model 3 and Cayman will all offer the exact same driving experience, because vehicle weight is all that matters.... 😔
My Audi lease runs out in sept of 2028, which might be a great time to pick up a low mileage CPO Boxster EV. That's my plan. Or, European Delivery of _my_ Boxster EV, which would also be very nice....
IMHO, having one port in the rear is superior to having one on each side. In such a small car, it'll be easy to plug in, no matter which side the charger is on. The short SuperCharger cables are a problem, potentially, but that's on Tesla.
As for accessibility, anything that makes things easier...
I could care less about fake engine noises and simulated shift points, but I do like the idea of using the paddles to adjust regen. I've heard different things about regen/one-pedal driving in a Porsche. My A6 e-tron has OP driving, which is great because it's a highway cruiser. Not sure I would...
I'm going to 2nd V2H (at least V2L). I really liked the minimal look of the Mission S with no center screen. It'd be awesome if Porsche chose the 718EV to debut their new SSB. This is a wish list, right? 😆
