Forget fsd. Farting seats are mandatory. 😆
  2. Tesla Roadster

    Smarty pants? LOL
  3. Tesla Roadster

Fair enough. Thanks for the explanation. I drive an Audi EV, and the new software update has been much better about those issues. I'm hoping that the software in the 718EV is minimal.
  4. Tesla Roadster

You came into a Porsche EV forum to tell us you'll never buy a Porsche EV? Thanks for letting me know.
  5. Introductions & Welcome Thread 👋

Hello, all. I apologize, as I did not see the introduce yourself thread when I joined. I may be an american, but I've lived all over the place. My love of Porsche (see my username) started as a kid, when I lived in Salzburg for a year. I had an OG Boxster for a while. My family has all EVs, now...
  6. 718 EV Reviews (First Rides) Are Here

I think you have an error here, but maybe I'm reading another site wrong. The A6 e-tron battery has 180 cells, for ~100kwh of total storage (95 usable). I'm thinking the 718 will have 210 cells per _battery,_ or 21 cylindrical cells/module. If the batteries were identical in format, that would...
  7. Manufacturing plant for 718 EV assembly?

Lol. Unfortunately, that's every car, these days...
  8. Tesla Roadster

You're so right. You know what else weighs the same? The Chevy Bolt. Clearly, the Bolt, Model 3 and Cayman will all offer the exact same driving experience, because vehicle weight is all that matters.... 😔
  9. Tesla Roadster

Yes. So 300kg more than the gasser. Should be easy to make it handle well.
  10. Manufacturing plant for 718 EV assembly?

Not a huge fan. Maybe it'll look better IRL.
  11. 718 EV Boxster now 99% uncovered / uncamouflaged (as of Sept 10)

My Audi lease runs out in sept of 2028, which might be a great time to pick up a low mileage CPO Boxster EV. That's my plan. Or, European Delivery of _my_ Boxster EV, which would also be very nice....
  12. 718 EV Boxster now 99% uncovered / uncamouflaged (as of Sept 10)

IMHO, having one port in the rear is superior to having one on each side. In such a small car, it'll be easy to plug in, no matter which side the charger is on. The short SuperCharger cables are a problem, potentially, but that's on Tesla. As for accessibility, anything that makes things easier...
  13. Tesla Roadster

I've read that the 718 EV will only be a couple hundred pounds heavier than the ICE was.
  14. E-Shift for 718 EV?

I could care less about fake engine noises and simulated shift points, but I do like the idea of using the paddles to adjust regen. I've heard different things about regen/one-pedal driving in a Porsche. My A6 e-tron has OP driving, which is great because it's a highway cruiser. Not sure I would...
  15. Manufacturing plant for 718 EV assembly?

The Audi TT was a great car. it'll be interesting to see what the final release looks like.
  16. Manufacturing plant for 718 EV assembly?

Thank you. Stutti is a cool town and has _all_ the Porsche magic.
  17. 718 EV Wish List - What's Yours?

I'm going to 2nd V2H (at least V2L). I really liked the minimal look of the Mission S with no center screen. It'd be awesome if Porsche chose the 718EV to debut their new SSB. This is a wish list, right? 😆
  18. Manufacturing plant for 718 EV assembly?

Anyone know where these will be built? Thanks!
  19. Spotted two 718 EV (Cayman + Boxster) test vehicles in Nevada

I'm really glad the coupe looks good. I had an older Boxster, and only want the hard-top. I'm really excited about this coming out soon.
