it is with some sadness that I note the Tesla site no longer offers the Gen2 Tesla Wall charger for sale via their website - it was perhaps the best and certainly most affordable 100/80 amp charger on the EVSE market.
they are currently offering their Gen3 model - I have no personal experience...
you are correct a Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 Tesla Wall Charger "should" work - I only have personal experience with the Gen2 wall chargers (and some Gen1 but those don't count)…
Gen3 is interesting - it communicates for loadsharing via WiFi, and has a 60/48 amp limit - the Gen2 is 20-100 amps and uses...

3-phase is not a thing in the US for residential power supply. Single phase 240 volt supply is the norm (100-200 amp service from the power company).
and the typical US home only has a "few" 240 volt circuits (appliance, stove, oven, cloths dryer, water heater, air conditioning, EV chargers)...
