718 Cayman EV / 983 / Boxster EV Forum news...

I would rather that they work on getting the 718 EV out the door already instead of wasting engineering cycles on tomfoolery. It’s tantamount to all the effort Rivian puts into stupid “Halloween Costumes” every year, instead of working on lowest common denominator features like cruise control...

@chun, no worries I have the answer. I’ll create a ppt with a timeline showing “Time Travel as a commodity service by 2023”. Then, I’ll print that out & take it to my garage where I have an old refrigerator box with a door flap cut into it. I’ll bring the printout inside and manipulate the...

Because you can’t just insert the slideware into the front end of a factory and have cars come out the other end. As an IT Delivery Consultant (in other words, a “do-er”), I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve had to sit in a dark conference room screaming silently inside my self while some...

Meh, I’ll believe it when there’s allocations. Which there won’t be this decade, if ever. Porsche’s idea of innovation is refreshing the models wearing their Lifestyle products. They’re the wrong company to be pioneering a BEV convertible.

Having driven Northvolt into dust, Porsche should’ve just bought them and trundled on with battery development. Now they’re back to square one. And I want my allocation.

Thanks for posting that, but unfortunately it just rehashes what we already know. There’s no statement directly from Porsche that these will still debut in 2025. The author concludes on his own that they will, based on the fact that mules have been spotted “in recent months”.

I expected that there would’ve been a bit more fanfare around the EV Macan launch. What there was was insular (invites to the Porsche customer community to take a ride in one at an Experience Center). Otherwise it seems to have just ingloriously “shown up” in Porsche’s lineup. There’s been...

    Will 718 EV feature high-amperage (80A) charging?

The Taycan feature(d) an option for charging at up to 80A vs most other EVs max out between 40-48A. Will the 718 EV have this capability? When I owned my Taycan I took advantage of this feature with my existing 80A-capable Gen 1 Tesla HPWC. While it wasn’t always necessary to charge at that...
