I bet they use Cayenne motor which is sans the 2 speed gearbox of Taycan. Smaller, lighter, lower cost, less problematic. We'll know in three weeks!
I mean, its all speculation at this point, but the Taycan and Cayman EV will be produced in the same factory. So it makes sense to simplify the supply chain and use the Taycan rear motor unit. The Cayenne is the Taycan motor.

Porsche can manufacture a single electric motor type in massive quantities and bolt it to different housings, as seen in the Cayenne and Taycan, likely extending to the Cayman as well.

The fact that one drive train is 2 speed and the other is 1 speed is irrelevant. You're conflating motor with drive train. Ultimately sounds like we're saying the same thing. The Cayman has long been confirmed to be single speed, so not sure what point you're trying to make.

It's not. Cayenne uses a new motor derived from their Formula E car, and it is oil cooled to allow for sustained max output.

I also doubt porsche would make their first 2 sports EV slower than their 4 door family SUV.

A rotor and stator are not a motor. Need housings and gear reduction to be functional. It's a friggin powertrain module that's all assembled at the same workstatio so no conflation.
