Anyone got a deposit for an electric 718 EV allocation?

if you don't have a commission number from PCNA/PorscheGermany you simply have a spot on a private dealer list that has no basis in reality…

a commission number is an allocated slot on a production schedule…I highly doubt there are any commission numbers at this point prior to any formal announcement or product reveal with detalis.

as long as it’s fully refundable (unlike some brands) I can wait patiently.

My dealer is saying there's still not enough information about the model to even consider deposits at this stage

Dealers in my area are maintaining “interest lists” for $0, on which I am apparently in the first slot. Agreed that until there are customer allocations available, dealers taking “deposits” at this point are just taking money to write your name in a notebook…that hopefully doesn’t end up in the trash when the next new car manager takes over.

But, if/when I get “the call” for an allocation, it’ll look something like this:

Are you allowed to say what the deposit amount was ?

Back in 2022 when I ordered my Cross Turismo, Porsche of Stevens Creek required a $5,000 deposit. They actually sold the car to me for less than MSRP, which was rare during the pandemic.
