Just been told by my UK dealer that they’ve been informed that 718 EV training is booked for next summer so looking like a 2027 launch.

this tracks - 2027 "reveal" - late 2027 'first deliveries' - and then a quick pivot to 2028 718 EV's after the august 2027 factory cut-over/shut-down period...

A bit later than i had hoped, but it is what it.

I have a feeling it won't be the only good 2 door EV by then.

The Audi TT is coming and rumours are that it’ll be excellent like the old Mk1 TT.

Back to the topic, 27 is soon enough I guess but they’re dragging it out aren’t they? There seems to be an appetite for it and has been for a while now.

the sensible head in me says to wait for them to iron out issues in the first edition but that would be potentially a 4yr wait from here and I only have just under 3yrs on my Taycan extended warranty.
